Totally agree with your thoughts on the game and selection Brad. I totally agree with what should happen and what will most likely happen. In a sense I think Sam must reward the team that fought back and try to work out how we started so sluggishly. For me it was the intensity from the beginning. That is what I noticed when we started to peg things back was that we turned up the pressure and we started to keep the ball flowing rather than stagnated play. If we could not switch play we and had not other options we went down the line which is smart percentage football.
Looks close to me. I think we also need an eye on who’s back next week. With CJ available I wouldn’t put Morrison in then take him out to make room for CJ who will either be half back or win and swap with Amon. Mind you I’m not convinced re CJ. Effective ball use needs to be criteria number 1 and not sure he passes.
I think CJ will need a good 3 week block at Box Hill before being considered for senior selection. He will start with a half, then will need to get through at least 2 games. Before he was injured, he was training as a wingman, so it will be interesting to see where he plays when he returns.
Agree with Brad and CJ needs to earn a spot. Not only does he need to test and trust his body but he also needs to improve his disposal efficiency. We already have too many turnovers.
