Wholesale changes rarely work and I understand Sam is trying to show some steel and stick to this team so far. Having said that there has to be a few changes. I thought Bramble was one of our better players particularly later on. He at least was trying to show some initiative. It's a hobby horse of mine but I can't cop Frost. He is definitely not the future and keeps getting a game because of his speed and good size....pity he can't play. DGB must come in and be encouraged. I liked Ned Longs game with BH...he looked ready to me so I'd bring him in for Nash who is a sort of like for like but Long is a better footballer. Despite Ramsden being a bit quiet Sunday and very light I like the way he plays....give hime a chance and just say to him and Fergus....keep presenting. This would also allow Reeves to have a rest. Leave Butler in he has a go although Id like to see Brockman in. Cooper Stephens has to be close too.
Finn Maginness cannot remain in the team. His role is one-dimensional and while he has performed it reasonably well in the first two rounds, it has had no bearing whatsoever on the outcome, either at half-time for the two quarters in which he's tagged or post half time when the tag has been dropped. When the tag is released, unfortunately Finn has nothing to offer, either as a midfielder or defender. Bramble must stay in the team - 22 disposals at 72% efficiency and 518 metres gained is a pretty good day's work - just what do you want from him Brad? Love Connor Nash's heart, but do you really see him as part of a contending team in 3 years' time - I doubt it, Connor is good back up only. Out: Maginness, Nash, Frost. In: Butler/Wingard, Long, DGB.
Not enough.
Jiath is a luxury. Exciting yes but way too many skill errors. And he can't defend. Practice at BH
Maginness is not developing fast enough. If he's a midfielder let him practice at BH
Reeves, needs more time and Hawks need a Ruck Forward who can be a presence and kick goals
Frost should be playing a leadership role at BH. He will be very good there.
Nash is not the future. BH beckons.
Bramble is not the future. BH beckons.
Bring up Stephens, Long, Grainger Barras, Wingard and Brockman.
Bring up Scrimshaw and if he's not fit try Weddle off half back - can't be worse than Jiath or Bramble.
Seamus Mitchell is showing some good signs so he's worth trying soon
You must persist with Butler - at least he has a crack.
Bring up Serong in a few weeks for Kosi if he continues his current run.
Last week Hawthorn had 16 players on the field.
Cannot be competitive with effectively 2 less on the field
Reeves was a no-show and some of the others noted were a negative.
Let these boys perfect their games at BH.
Bring up some of these really exciting youngsters.
If we are torching 2023, let's do it right.
Wholesale changes indicate (rightful) panic
Reeves out for big Maxie
Last chance saloon for Kosi
Like the idea of Sicily as a forward
Let’s make DGB earn a spot so hopefully another good game or two with BHH first
