Big thanks to HI for this, absolutely fantastic content. I have seen Jasper play several times this year and he looks very comfortable at WAFL and definitely has AFL attributes. Not only is he a skilled field kick, he can also kick it a long way. Tony Micale (a bit of a footy legend over here), who is an excellent judge of WA talent and who was a fan of Tim Kelly and Nick martin as AFL prospects when they played in the WAFL has spoken similarly about Jasper. With McCabe, Blanck, McCabe, Dear and Denver, we have built a crop of young tall players which is an area we've been lacking.
Thanks Danny and Darren for bringing us this content. I have been looking forward to hearing more about Jasper. Looks like a great pick up, has the right attitude to be a premiership player with the “One for all and all for one” attitude. Looking forward to the 200+ game career and >500 goals. Good Luck young man!
What a ripper young fella. As a WA Hawks supporter its pleasing that Jasper is all that is good about young WA boys. Wishing you all the best and know you have lots of WA peeps hoping that you do make it 200 games for the mighty Hawks. Keep working hard and thanks for the interview fellas. Really enjoying the content from the Insiders and keep up the great work team.
Full credit to the Hawks recruiting team. They have performed extremely well since Sam joined our ranks. Jasper's highlight reel showed some excellent passes into the forwardline and a couple of left footed goals to show he is a very skilled player, especially for his size and age.
Good spot Brett, he mentioned how his kicking was a strength and he was referring to both feet. So impressive and valuable when a 197cm player can do that.
Welcome to Jasper what a well spoken young man , seems to have his head screwed on the right way., more mature than some of the 19 yr olds I know. Good luck! looking forward to watching you at the “G” .
Remarkable wisdom and perspective for a young man. Credit to him and his family. His mere presence will be a significant benefit to the club regardless of what he delivers on the field.
Love this interview, great work Danny and Daz. What an impressive young man! A maturity in his outlook that was beyond his years. Fair to suggest Sam would be a massive fan of his approach to learning, growing and being a sponge for knowledge. One thing is for sure, he will get the most out of himself with his mindset, let’s hope that is a 200 game Hawk with multiple flags!!
If he plays half as well as he speaks he will be AA. No idea what happened in his draft year but he seems to have all the right inputs and suppprts around him so let’s hope we’ve found a player here.

I agree Michelle, his attitude was fantastic and very mature for a 19 year old
Such a well rounded guy. Love his outlook on life
Seems very capable
Looking forward to Jasper bullying opposition defenders for many years to come
