The ratings this week were realistic as compared to last week. The Hawks have 15 players out of contract at seasons end. I would like to recontract the following albeit different contract lengths. Finn Maginness, Jai Serong, James Blanck, James Worpel, Ned Long and Tyler Brockman. (Rookie Emerson Jeka due to contunual injury issues to see if he can do a Seamus Mitchell) and give Fergus Greene another 12 months given the lack of forwards. while we are at it, give Josh Weddle a contract extension ASAP. Definately want to see Stephens, Husthwaite, Long and Serong in the team before season’s end. I didn’t realise DGB had training issues which explains his constant ommissions. I hope he keeps a place in the team (we need a swingman) so if you are reading this Denver PLEASE start training the house down. I am a believer!!!!!! If Tyler Brockman leaves and that plays a part in getting Pick 1 from WCE then I can live with that but I reckon he has the makings of a STAR.
The leadership observations on Moore - he has acknowledged a “leadership anxiety” and trying to be “the” leader; combined with Scrimshaw - who has self admitted to not seeing himself as a leader - have become evident in recent weeks with Sicily out. It was interesting that Hardwick ruled himself out of a leadership role. This may explain why Impey had to play.
Ward I see as an early years Trent Cotchin with his 20-30 metre measured kicks. Not that Ward doesn’t go for the around the back handball.
Weddle I think had Brown, but as Ash said it was hard to pick up on TV.

With Day’s 2 point deduction - being given 7 was it otherwise an 8 (with 0.5 points counting as one deduction) or 9 point game? 🤔

Scrimshaw vs Serong - with Scrim giving over the shoulder/head handballs & laconic approach at times in the back half; is it time to try the understudy who is also a more competent two sided player.
This would mean Morrison goes out for Sicily.
Making a call on Conor MacDonald actually brings to mind Gary Buckenara - Ash maybe the only one to reference this.
