Far out! Today, I nearly crashed my car into a wide load semi trailer when I was listening at the end of the player pod when my name was called out, Ash! It was super generous to get a mention but it was an absolute thrill to have met you in person for the first time. I have been a huge fan of your writing for a long time, and I have always wanted to meet you. Your writing and journalism is always first-class and it was an honour to rub shoulders with someone I have looked up to for so long. In fact the whole team at HI produces first class articles and quality writing and we a so fortunate to be looked after so well. Ash, I heard on another Hawks podcast that most of the players had their exit interviews last week before the Freo game, can you please ask Will Day if that is correct when you interview him because it might explain someway into the listless performance as they seemed to have already "checked out" on Saturday.
Last Friday showed that our List is full of putrid standard AFL footballers. If we do not throw the Bank at Ben McKay, where will the Club find our next full back? About time we became fair dinkum about our List and future as a respected Club.
Thanks guys I always look forward to Player Ratings Days . It’s interesting how differently you see some players I never look at the stats really but just go on what I see on the day. They all looked a bit down I thought. The ones who are at Uni like Josh Ward ( who is doing Law ) are probably brain as well as body tired. I think another pre season will make a difference to most of our youngies and if Brandon Ryan feels at all like I did after the flu I don’t know how he could even run.😂
First & foremost, thank you to the HI’s team for delivered the Player Ratings this year. For me, an unexpected loss & depressing way to end the year. I had pegged it as a win but it looked like most of the team were already at the airport waiting to board planes. The members only got excited when remonstrating with umpires for dodgy or no decisions 😩
Harry Morrison 2/10 (trade him), Jacob Koschitzke 2/10 (trade him), Brandon Ryan (definitely should not have played hence Meek Lloyd’s inclusion probably for height and as a reward for the 3 goals at Box Hill last week), Josh Ward (rate him) BUT was terrible, was lazy, waiting for receives, in poor positions all day (2/10). We are desperately in need of quality talls at either end. Based on Saturdays performance, bottom 4 is a likely result for 2024 unless Sam and Mark McKenzie pull off some major trades and draft selections. Looking forward to HI trade and list content over the next few weeks. #GoHawks

Apparently the same process last year - last week of the “school” year when the students know that their reports have been written.
Kosi is out of contract this year.
Ward didn’t shirk the issue against the Pies.
Need to remember Serong missed the better part of the year with his heart issue.
Agree Blanck doesn’t read the ball well off the boot & runs on railway tracks.
