1) the comment that Hawthorn has brought the fans in was an excellent and thought-provoking one. Reflecting back there was an us and them quality to the last era. Reminds me that at the same time we endured the likes of Chris Judd and co on the 'Friday Rub' discussing their wealth, growing with easy gains from a 0% interest economy. Now everything is about the aspiring middle class etc etc and authenticity and the Hawks have tapped into that brilliantly.
2) takeaway from last game that was not mentioned was Chol looking very out of sorts.
Also not mentioned about Chol is that he flew for a massive hanger in the 2nd qtr, and landed really badly. He was quite sore and limping after, and had his knee strapped at training this week. So I’d say the quiet game can hopefully be forgiven coz I think it was a result of that fall.
Normally a 70 min cast would test my patience, not in this case.
