I started following Hawthorn during the 74 season, I believe I was convinced to follow Hawthorn by the janitor at my primary school who happened to be Peter Hudson's brother. I can't remember the exact conversation but there you go.
My very first game was the Peter Crimmins tribute game after the 1976 grand final against The Sun All Stars and Peter Hudson kicked 8 goals for The All Stars that day, funny how some things stick in the memory maybe Ash has some memories of that game.
As for my first game as a member that came in round 1 against Melbourne in 1981 where Leigh Matthews kicked 11 so that was a good memory :-)
