On the field he was as tough and uncompromising as they come. But Hawthorn Premiership player Campbell Brown has given a pretty measured assessment on Hawthorn’s start to the season after last night’s non-competitive 53-point loss to The Suns.

Speaking to HI’s Andrew Weiss at Gold Coast’s People First Stadium immediately after the match, Brown said he was disappointed, but wasn’t prepared to write off the rebuild just yet.
