A recently unearthed video of Hawthorn’s 1996 merger meeting (digitised by archivist Rhett Bartlett from a VHS from Rohan Connolly’s collection) offers a raw, unfiltered glimpse into one of the most pivotal moments in the club’s history. For those who were there — like HI’s own MICK COWAN — it’s a chance to relive the emotions of that night and a Hawthorn origin street that began in Melville Street in the late ‘30s.
