With things heating up at board level, Hawks Insiders is committed to bringing you balanced coverage ahead of one of the most important AGMs in recent history on December 13. Consider a paid subscription to Hawks Insiders to support our efforts.
In our next instalment of our AGM Files, we spoke to current Hawthorn Football Club Board member Katie Hudson in her push for re-election.
Hudson — the daughter of Hawthorn 1961 Premiership player Reg Poole — was appointed to the board in April 2019, having previously been appointed to the Investment Management Committee of the Hawthorn Football Club in early 2018.
You can read her full bio over at the club’s website, but she offers more than 20 years experience in investment markets and is currently a director and shareholder in Yarra Capital Management, an independent funds management organisation.
As a Hawthorn Board member, Hudson has been a key player in getting the Hawthorn AFLW team up and running and, in her capacity as Chair of the Finance Committee, is intimately involved with the club’s future investment fund (the ‘Future Fund’) and the Kennedy Community Centre at Dingley.
She spoke about those topics, as well as others including diversity on the Board, transparency, and her unequivocal endorsement of Peter Nankivell as President.
In the lead-up to the AGM, we’re giving Hawks Insiders subscribers the opportunity to have their say on everything from the club’s off-field performance to when our next Premiership tilt is likely to be.
