Brodie Grundy is a hot topic in the AFL media circuit. His move from Collingwood to Melbourne at the end of 2022 was met with mixed reviews. Questions around his fit with Melbourne captain Max Gawn were asked, but countered with opposing views stating that the Gawn/Grundy combination would be the most dominant ruck duo the AFL has seen.
Here we are, less than 12 months after Grundy was traded to the Demons, and the discussion has pivoted to what team Grundy will play for in 2024, because it doesn’t look like it will be Melbourne.
As described by former coach Nathan Buckley, Grundy is an ‘alpha’ and it’s conceivable to think that he would be open to a move to a third club, should he be given the opportunity to assume the number one ruck mantle.
The Hawks Insiders team have internally debated the pros and cons of any potential move for Grundy, and now we’ve laid them out for you below, so that you can make your own mind up.
