If Ginnivan is not selected who would you consider to come in. Thinking perhaps its Josh Ward or Henry Hustwaite that could come in. Gunston then starts instead of interchange and Ward/Hustwaite become interchange.
Is your sense that if Hustwaite and Ward keep performing for Box Hill that its only a matter of time before they get a look in or are they simply waiting for something to get injured and its just wait your turn kid so to speak.
Unfortunately for them it’s the latter. Neither will play AFL again this year unless there is an injury. The current midfield is playing too well.
The bigger issue they have is what happens next season and beyond. It’s been made public that the Hawks are heavily chasing both Harry Perryman & Bailey Smith, who would both be playing in front of Ward and Hustwaite. Whilst both are still young, none of the current midfielders are “old” and it looks like none will be going anywhere.
Connor Nash still hasn’t re-signed and may decide to move on as a free agent but he will likely be replaced by Perryman or Smith.
Thanks for the wonderful response Brad. Really appreciate your thoughts and insight vs the social media type comments that make things so personal to players and the person posing questions. If I asked that question on social media could instantly see an assassination of Ward and Hustwaite rather than a constructive viewpoint. Cheers and have a great evening
Brad, why not consider Day in Sic’s quarterback role, as his delivery by foot is better than Serong at this stage, and bring Hustwaite or Ward into the midfield?
If only we had 2 x Will Day’s! He would be perfect for that role but he’s too important in the midfield. It will be one of Serong or Mitchell to replace Sicily if he misses

Sam said that Breust is coming in this week, so it would be the "easy" decision if Ginnivan doesn't get up.
Fantastic. But then based on the line up Brad has selected you would still need to have a player coming in to take Breust's position on the bench
After reports from training today, the changes will likely be:
Lewis in for Dear
Serong/Mitchell for Sicily
Breust for Ginnivan
Sub will be one of Gunston or Morrison
