The Hawks have confounded the critics and doomsayers with their performance in the first five rounds.  They have had only one bad effort, against St Kilda. 

As predicted in my first article for Hawks Insiders, Sam Mitchell will not compromise his plan and belief of giving games (and therefore development) to the younger players.

At times, this might cost Hawthorn some games, but Sam has definitely got his eye on the ‘long’ game and future.
