This pod had it all. Well, everything except pristine audio.
Daz and Weissy brought back the pre-game walk and talk on the way to the MCG, so expect train announcements, crowd noise and plenty of atmosphere.
We also did something we’ve never done before: hit record while the game was still in its dying stages, capturing the exact moment Noah Mraz kicked his first AFL goal just seconds before the final siren.
Fittingly, it was a game of firsts. Josh Battle kicked his first goal for the club after 41 games (so much for being recruited as a swingman), Ollie Greeves celebrated his first AFL major, and Noah Mraz capped off a brilliant afternoon with his maiden goal.
Oh, and somewhere in between, Hawthorn casually won by 70 points.
