On a sunny Tuesday afternoon, the Hawks Insiders were treated to a West Wing-style “walk and talk” tour of the Kennedy Community Centre at Dingley by Hawthorn President Andy Gowers.
And it’s hard to know where to begin with this expansive new home for the Hawks.
An MCG-sized oval and grandstand.
A second “community” oval for AFLW with its own pavilion.
The 15m x 30m indoor training facility.
The three pools – hot, cold and magnesium.
The administrative hub.
The bayside location, just 30 minutes from the CBD.
Purpose built for 222 staff and players, with room to grow, the Kennedy Community Centre is slated for completion at the end of the 2025 season – and Gowers could not be more excited.
