Board battle brings up the trifecta

News of another boardroom battle is the latest development in a busy off-season for the Hawks.

And so the challenging off-season for Hawthorn supporters continues.

As if the allegations of racism from former club officials wasn’t enough, nor a deep cut to the playing list that while necessary, might lead to a difficult 2023… we now have yet another board election to consider.

Nominations for the board closed at 5pm on Wednesday and there were five nominations for three board seats. Incumbents Katie Hudson and Anne-Marie Pellizzer are seeking re-election and joining them on the ballot will be Maria Lui, James Merlino and Ed Sill.

The latter two challengers are well-known.
