Another Hawthorn father-son faux pas
When draft-bolter Ed Allan gets his name called out at next week's national draft, every Hawthorn fan ought to be angry. And here is why.
Draft night is going to come around and for the second time in four years, Hawthorn fans are going to feel sick to their stomach.
It was bad enough watching Noah Anderson (son of Dean) go to Gold Coast with the second pick in 2019 and turn out to be as good as advertised.
Most likely late on opening night, but if not, certainly early on the second night, the fast-rising Ed Allan will be making his way into the AFL, but not to Hawthorn, where his father was the best and fairest in the 1991 premiership team.
Just like Anderson, he should be on his way to Bunjil Bagora.
